These growers are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality produce for our customers and the maintenance of our organic integrity.

John Hurd

John Hurd and his family have been cultivating watercress for over forty years, when in 1992 he took the decision to go totally organic.  He was awarded his first ‘Organic Certificate’ in June 1994.

Patrick Hearne

Capel Mushrooms was established in 1962 and is now run by the founder’s sons, Damian and Patrick Hearne. In 1988, faced with the problems of being a relatively small mushroom grower in an increasingly competitive market, Damian and Patrick took the decision to become organic, having dismissed alternatives such as moving into snail farming or rhubarb growing.

Skysprouts is a family-based company founded by two very enthusiastic parents wanting to give their children the best food possible. In 1984 they started sprouting seeds and beans in their kitchen on a small farm in Devon and 16 years, seven children and thousands of  tonnes of sprouts  later they are still growing them.

Philip Le Maistre

Master Farms is the company name for the Le Maistre family business which has been growing in the south-east corner of Jersey since 1841. It has evolved from the original family farm based at Les Pres Manor and founded by Charles Alan Le Maistre; it is now owned and managed by Peter and Philip Le Maistre and Philip’s son, Philip.
