Why Langridge?

Langridge Organic Products Ltd. was established to help develop the marketing needs of Langridge Farm and other members of Organic Farmers & Growers. We became limited in 1993. Langridge is a privately owned and run business with very close ties to our family farm near Crediton in Devon, which has been successfully farmed by Bernard Govier, our founder and his family since 1969. In the early days the farm’s produce was sold to shops in and around Exeter as well as through the two of the families own stores. Having served a number of companies in London and throughout the South of England from the farm the decision was taken in 1995 to establish a second base allowing greater ease of distribution, after a brief spell west of London we moved to New Covent Garden. Quickly out growing our original unit, in the railway arches, we moved to a bigger site within the market in June of 1997. Over the ensuing period we have seen massive growth both at Langridge and in the industry as a whole. Since the early days of only selling produce grown on our own farms we have had to get more and more growers to join us and go further afield to meet our customers demands. Today we have growers as far apart as Italy, South Africa and Argentina whilst all the time continuing to source from the UK where ever possible. In August 2018 we found ourselves on the move again and this time out of the market. We moved to a purpose built facility of 17 000 sq ft in Feltham West London. Today Langridge serve a large number of customers from the largest store to a box scheme run from someone’s house throughout the whole of the UK. Our aim is to supply quality organic produce at sensible prices backed up with the highest level of customer service.
